When I first started Peace Love Sequins in April 2012 I had a very basic idea that I wanted to use my blog as a platform to explore the world of  fashion and develop my own personal style. Throughout this past year I have veered off that route, but I want to bring that focus back.

Why The Changes?

I want to work in the fashion industry after I finally graduate college. I want to use this blog as a way to practice my writing and get my ideas on fashion across. If this blogs stays nothing more than a hobby I will be perfectly fine with that but I have hopes that it will a nice addition to my portfolio and help me stand out from the pack! I mean trying to get a job at a major fashion magazine is highly competitive and I want to do anything possible to make myself stand out!

What To Expect From The New Peace Love Sequins

> Fearless Fashion Fridays – A link up that is brought to you by Kelly from Messy Dirty Hair and me! It is where you can share a trend you have been dying to try or one that you have tried! You can share an outfit post, a collection of a certain trend you want to try, or even create an outfit on Polyvore to share!

> Fashion School – A new series I am going to start. There is so much about fashion that I need to learn or have learned already that I thought would be nice to share. For example, what kind of tops are there and what types of figures do they look good on. I have a bunch of ideas that will take just a basic informational post more exciting and interesting! So stay tuned!

> The Confidence Project – I have mention this before but I have postponed this a little longer! I want to make sure that it is a great resource and is inspirational. Also have plans to invite some bloggers to participate, but the exact details you will just have to wait and see! The plan is to launch the project by the end of April 2013.

> Tutorials and E-books – With my background in web design, social media, SEO, Marketing and PR I have a lot of valuable information to share with you. What I want to do is make the information geared towards bloggers – particularly fashion bloggers.

> Everything Will Have A Fashion Perspective – In the past I have added some pop culture content and I do not plan to completely ignore it in the future but I do plan to make sure everything I do has a fashion perspective or twist. Since I want to would in fashion it only makes sense that I include in as much as possible on my blog!

> Outfit Posts – I have enlisted my husband and my mom to start taking outfit posts! I hope to really start these by March. I think these are fun and it is always nice when you can incorporate your own photography!

> Commitment – I am making a pledge to be fully committed to my blog. I have a lot going on right now with school, work, an internship and another side job, but I know I can handle it. Nothing good comes to those who just sit around and wait right?
